I was hospitalized after a possible stroke left me with limited mobility and unable to speak. I needed rehabilitation to restore my speech and regain my arm and leg movements before returning home. My husband and son chose Harmony Palos Heights because of its cleanliness and the friendliness of the staff, who made us feel welcomed, as if they knew us personally. I made a lot of progress in therapy. My speech improved significantly after consistent speech therapy sessions, and my mobility improved because of the physical and occupational therapists who encouraged me to work towards my goals daily. They made therapy enjoyable. The nurses were friendly, and the CNAs were marvelous. I also appreciated Te’andria, the admissions director, who visited me often, ensuring I had everything I needed. I always felt like someone was always there to care for my needs. Housekeeping services were also great. The entire team exceeded my expectations, and I felt at home. Like my family, most people have misconceptions about rehabilitation facilities because they have not experienced staying in one. I am gladly sharing my experience to enlighten them and highly recommend Harmony for their rehabilitation needs.

I want to express my gratitude for the excellent services that my father received at Avantara Palos Heights. The care he received was exceptional, and I appreciated how the nurses and CNAs were always available to answer my questions and provide updates. The physical and occupational therapists did an outstanding job of pushing my father to his potential, and I am grateful for their dedication. Jasmine and Maggie were always on top of things. I was admitted to Avantara Palos Heights after having abdominal surgery. While I was hopeful to return home immediately after surgery, my plans changed, and I’m glad I came for rehabilitation. I knew about Avantara because of a family member’s previous experience, and I am so happy I came here. The therapy department worked with me daily to get me strong enough to return home, and the nursing team exceeded all expectations during my quick rehab stay. My husband was a resident at Avantara Palos Heights for about three months. I want to thank everyone at the facility, from the front desk and throughout. Everyone is friendly and greets you with a smile. Several people stand out in my mind in the physical and occupational department, Starting with Bert, who shows his kindness and care for the patients. Occupational therapists Craig went above and beyond, and Andrew was a true professional and challenged my husband daily to succeed. Essie (CNA) is the epitome of a caring aide. She was so helpful, very kind and hard-working. Eileen (RN) was always on top of her patients’ needs and cared for my husband. Ann at the front desk always greets everyone and is very helpful. Tamara is a wonderful and compassionate social worker and exceptional at her job. Venus kept everything clean, and Corey took great care of maintaining the building and always smiled and greeted the guests. So many others were excellent; I wish I could remember their name. Please know that I appreciate the staff at Avantara Palos Heights, and I will be forever grateful.

I knew about this facility because I lived in the area and had family members who stayed there in the past. I had a magnificent stay. The staff was great, and the therapy team worked with me daily to help me regain my strength so I could return home. I give them more than five stars. I highly recommend the staff at Avantara Palos Heights for their professional and compassionate care. They have been helpful from the beginning, from the facility tour to helping me with admissions to expediting my stepfather’s transfer from another rehabilitation facility. I am grateful to Lauren, the admissions director, and Eileen, the receptionist, who are always ready to assist, are kind, and like rays of sunshine. The administrator, Valerie, ensures that the facility is maintained with the highest form of excellence. The second-floor supervisor, Yvette, has a high standard of work ethics. The physical and occupational therapists are energetic and always come up with new ways to help advance the workouts. The cleaning staff does an excellent job of keeping the facility clean. Overall, they have displayed professional and genuine care for my stepfather. I am really satisfied, and glad that I chose Avantara Palos Heights.
